The price-to-experience gap on this set is almost confusing — 832 pieces and four minifigs for a hundred bucks in 2017 was a legitimate deal in a theme that rarely gives those out.
Is the price fair?A+One of the fairest prices Star Wars LEGO® has ever offered — the Hyperdrive ring alone justifies the tag.
Will you love it?CA solid display piece and fun build, but the starfighter itself won't blow anyone away.
Holds its value?ARetired and climbing — this one has legs on the secondary market.
The Full Take
Star Wars LEGO® sets don't usually hand you a bargain, but the Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive was priced like someone forgot to add the Star Wars tax. The Hyperdrive ring is the centerpiece — it's a chunky, satisfying build that wraps around the starfighter in a way that looks genuinely impressive on a shelf or in a kid's hands. Four minifigs including Anakin and R2-D2 round out a package that feels complete rather than padded. The weakest part of the equation is the starfighter itself, which is competent but not inspired — you've seen this ship rendered better. Still, the total package at that price point made this one of the more defensible Star Wars purchases of its year, and the market has noticed since retirement.
