The Full Take
The MG-100 StarFortress is one of the more underrated ships from The Last Jedi, and this set captures the bulk and menace of it reasonably well on a shelf. Five minifigs sounds decent until you realize the build experience itself is repetitive — a lot of structural filling with not much cleverness to show for it. At 780 pieces you expect some satisfying complexity, and there are moments, but long stretches feel like busywork. The overall C+ is honest: this is a set that looks better from across the room than it feels in your hands. Where it genuinely earns attention is post-retirement — appreciation near 9.0 puts it in company with sets that reward patience. Buy it to display it, shelve it sealed if you're thinking long-term, but walk in knowing the build is functional rather than inspired.
