Six minifigs in a $25 Star Wars set is a deal that LEGO® doesn't offer often — the scene-building potential here punches well above its price tag, even if the build itself is just fine.
Is the price fair?F290 pieces at $24.99 feels thin even by 2017 standards — this is an F that aging hasn't fixed.
Will you love it?B-The minifig lineup carries the whole set; the build is secondary and that's okay.
Holds its value?C-Flat secondary market — no strong driver pushing this one up post-retirement.

The Full Take
The Vader transformation scene is one of cinema's most iconic moments, and LEGO® captured it with a surprisingly generous roster of six minifigs for $25. The build itself — a medical bay slab, some equipment, Palpatine's throne-ish setup — is functional but thin, the kind of thing you assemble in an evening and feel mild about. Where this set earns its shelf space is the storytelling: Anakin mid-suit-up, a battle-damaged version of his face, the Emperor looming. For Star Wars fans, that's the point. Price grade is an F purely because $25 for 290 pieces reflects LEGO®'s 2017 pricing before the market shifted, and secondary prices have drifted without conviction. Buy it for the minifig story, not the architecture.
