The Y-wing is one of Star Wars' most underappreciated ships — that stripped-down, industrial silhouette has more character than a dozen X-wings. This UCS rendition nails the exposed engine pods and the general profile, and at nearly 2,000 pieces it's a proper weekend build. The problem is the $200 price tag for just two minifigs and a model that, on the shelf, reads a little thin from certain angles. The build itself is solid but not groundbreaking — no single technique moment that makes you stop and appreciate the engineering. It's a set that rewards Star Wars fans who love this particular ship, and punishes everyone else for paying a premium on a second-tier subject. A C overall is fair: not bad, not exciting, just competent.
