The Full Take
Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter hit shelves at a time when Star Wars sets were getting expensive fast, and this one bucked the trend hard. The angular, asymmetric design of the ship translates well at this scale — the wing geometry is the build's highlight, and it reads immediately as Kylo's ship on a shelf. Four minifigs including Kylo and a Praetorian Guard gives the set real character beyond just the vehicle. The weak spot is interior detail; crack it open and there's not much going on inside the cockpit. Still, the overall package punches above its price point in a way that's become rarer in the Star Wars line over time. A B+ that could've flirted with an A if LEGO® had pushed a little harder on what's under the hood.
