The Full Take
The TIE Striker translates surprisingly well to Microfighter scale — those extended wings give it a distinct shape that actually reads on a shelf. The included pilot minifig is the real draw here, a clean Rogue One tie-in that fans of the film will recognize. That said, the price point has always been the sticking point: $9.99 for 87 pieces felt thin in 2017 and hasn't aged better. The build itself is brief — maybe twenty minutes — which is fine for the format, but experienced builders will feel the ceiling fast. As a gift for younger Star Wars fans it's an easier call, since the playability is solid for the size and the ship is recognizable enough to spark imagination. Value-wise it's middling: steady but not exciting. It's a likable little ship fighting an uphill battle against its own price tag.
