The Full Take
The UCS TIE Fighter is a set that looks more impressive in photos than it earns in person. At $200, you're getting a display model that sits in an awkward middle ground — too large to ignore, not detailed enough to command a room the way the UCS X-Wing or Falcon do. The single minifig inclusion is almost comedic given the price point, and the build itself doesn't deliver the satisfying complexity that justifies a multi-evening investment. Where it does score: the model has quietly appreciated on the secondary market, so if you already own it, hold it.
