A Poké Ball at 2,239 pieces sounds like overkill until you see the price tag — $299.99 for this scale is the rare case where LEGO® left money on the table in your favor.
Is the price fair?A+Shockingly fair for the scale — this is the rare $300 set that doesn't feel like highway robbery.
Will you love it?FBeautiful from across the room, but there's no depth past the shell — it's a single-idea set.
Holds its value?C-Pokémon IP is evergreen, but round display pieces rarely run up big premiums after retirement.
The Full Take
The Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball is a bold swing: a massive, round set built around one of gaming's most recognized objects, priced in a way that feels like LEGO® miscalculated the demand. At this scale, display presence is the whole pitch, and a spherical centerpiece this size commands a shelf in a way few sets can match. The build itself is 2,239 pieces of engineering a smooth, curved shape — a legitimate technical challenge that rewards patience. What it lacks is soul beyond the silhouette; no figures, no story inside, just the icon. For Pokémon fans who grew up throwing these things at every Pidgey on Route 1, that might be enough. The love-it grade is harsh but fair — this is a niche piece for a specific fan, not a broad crowd-pleaser. But the price grade doesn't lie: at $299.99, this is one of the few large-scale sets that doesn't feel like a shakedown.
