Zane's Ultra Combiner Mech is one of those sets where the concept does more heavy lifting than the execution. The combiner mechanic is genuinely cool — the kind of thing kids flip out over — but at $99.99, LEGO® is charging premium-tier money for a mid-tier part count. Six minifigs soften the blow a little, and if you're deep in the Ninjago universe, the lore connection lands. The build itself is competent without being memorable — no jaw-dropping techniques, nothing you'll be talking about at a brick-con. Shelf presence is serviceable if you're a Ninjago collector, invisible if you're not. A B- feels right: fun enough to enjoy, but not enough to make you forget what you paid.
