Six minifigs in a $70 Ninjago set is rare — that alone bumps this above the usual dragon-and-two-dudes formula. The dragon looks mean on a shelf, but LEGO® is charging a premium for the privilege.
Is the price fair?A-$70 for this piece count is a stretch — you're paying for the lineup, not the bricks.
Will you love it?B-Solid dragon, great minifig spread — it's a B- that earns it on character, not craft.
Holds its value?CMiddle-of-the-road Ninjago sets don't tend to age into sleepers; expect flat resale.

The Full Take
Thunderfang Dragon of Chaos stacks the minifig roster in a way most Ninjago sets don't bother with — six figures at this price tier gives every kid a full crew to fight over. The dragon itself has enough bulk and attitude to sit proudly on a shelf without looking like a half-finished sketch. That said, $69.99 stings for 670 pieces; you're paying for the IP and the lineup, not the brick density. Builders will find the construction functional but not groundbreaking — the articulation is there, the wow techniques aren't. It's a set that delivers on fun and looks before it delivers on value. If you're buying for a child who lives in Ninjago, the cast of characters alone justifies the trip; if you're chasing efficiency, the math doesn't love you back.
