The Full Take
The Ninja Climber Mech sounds cooler than it looks, which is the core problem. The grappling hook climbing gimmick is a fun concept, but the execution lands somewhere between "functional" and "forgettable" — not a great place for a $70 set. Four minifigs help the case, but Ninjago army-builders have been burned before by sets that charge flagship money for a B-tier build. The mech itself has some decent articulation and the vertical play pattern is genuinely different from most mech sets in the line — kids who actually play with it will probably have fun. But sitting at an F on price, this one is really hard to recommend at retail. Wait for a sale and the math improves considerably.
