There's real affection baked into Destiny's Bounty as a Ninjago institution, and this 2023 incarnation captures the silhouette fans expect — the layered decks, the sails, the whole flying-ship fantasy. Six minifigs is a solid haul for a set in this range, and the build has enough going on to keep an experienced builder engaged across a solid afternoon. The problem is the price. At $159.99, LEGO® is charging flagship money for a set that doesn't quite hit flagship execution — the interior detail feels thinner than it should at this tier, and the part count doesn't justify the ask. It's not a bad set, just an overpriced one, which is a different kind of frustrating for something with this much nostalgia behind it. Ninjago fans will find real joy here; everyone else will feel the squeeze before the first brick clicks.
