The Dragon Energy Cores temple looks the part on shelf, but $94.99 for 1030 pieces is where this set stumbles — you're paying a Ninjago premium for a build that's solid, not spectacular.
Is the price fair?BNearly $95 for what should've been a $75 set — Ninjago tax is real.
Will you love it?BDragon temple drama with six figs and a glowing core gimmick that actually lands.
Holds its value?C-Middling retirement outlook — Ninjago moves volume, not collector premiums.

The Full Take
Ninjago sets live and die by their energy, and this temple brings enough: six minifigs, a dramatic centerpiece structure, and the kind of dragon-lore theatrics the theme does well. The build itself is competent — layered stonework, the glowing core gimmick, good color distribution — but it doesn't reach for anything technically ambitious. At $94.99 it's the price that keeps this from being a clean recommendation; the set feels like it belongs in the $70–75 window. Still, the shelf presence is real, the play features give kids something to actually do, and Ninjago fans will find enough here to enjoy without feeling robbed. A B is fair: above average, just not the must-buy the packaging implies.
