Sora's Transforming Mech Bike Racer has a clever gimmick at its core: one set, two modes, a Ninjago protagonist with some built-in personality. The problem is that the transformation comes at a cost — both modes feel like they're compromising for the other, and neither lands with full visual impact. Three minifigs is a decent haul, and Sora fans will appreciate the character representation, but the build itself doesn't push any interesting techniques or surprising parts. At $47.99, you're paying a premium for the dual-mode novelty, and that novelty wears off fast. It's a C+ set: not broken, not boring, just stuck between two better versions of itself that LEGO® never quite built.
