Creative Ninja sets live or die on whether the sum of their small builds feels like a real experience, and this one lands somewhere in the middle. Six minifigs is a genuine highlight — solid Ninjago roster, kids will have characters to actually fight over. The builds themselves are quick and modular, which works for younger builders but leaves anyone past the beginner stage wanting more. At $59.99 the price is where this thing falls apart; other sets in this range give you substantially more to sink your teeth into. The brick box format has a place, especially for kids who want freestyle building after the instructions are done. But the value ask here is steep for what arrives, and the secondary market isn't going to bail you out. If a kid in your life is deep in the Ninjago phase, the minifig haul alone might carry it — just don't come in expecting the price to feel justified.
