The Full Take
The mech design here is chunky and expressive in the way Ninjago does best — Kai's color scheme pops and the EVO gimmick gives kids something to actually transform mid-play. Four minifigs at this tier is generous, and the playability is real. The problem is purely what LEGO® is charging for it: this is a C+ set dressed in B- clothes asking for B+ money. Builders will find the techniques serviceable but not memorable, and display collectors will see a toy first, a shelf piece second. For a Ninjago fan, especially a younger one, it delivers — just not at full MSRP.
