Is the price fair?B-$34.99 for this is a stretch — the dragon's fun but the price is not.
Will you love it?B-The EVO mechanic and Cole's classic look make it easy to enjoy despite the cost.
Holds its value?C-Ninjago mid-tier sets rarely move the needle after retirement — don't bank on this one.

The Full Take
The EVO gimmick is genuinely clever for Ninjago: one set, two forms, the dragon evolves mid-play. Cole's version pulls it off with a chunky earth-toned dragon that has real shelf personality for something this small. The minifig selection is solid — Cole in his legacy outfit lands well for fans of the classic run. But LEGO® asked $34.99 for a set that feels like a $24.99 product, and that gap is hard to ignore no matter how charming the dragon is. The build itself is quick, maybe 45 minutes, which suits younger builders but leaves adults wanting more. As a display piece it reads a little sparse unless you're theming a full Ninjago shelf around it. Likeable set, wrong price.
