The Full Take
Nya's Samurai X Mech arrives with some genuine selling points: eight minifigs is a real haul, and the mech silhouette reads well in the box. But once you're building, the experience plateaus — the techniques don't surprise, and the finished model doesn't command a shelf the way a $120 set probably should. The Ninjago faithful will find things to like, especially the character selection, but casual buyers will feel the gap between the price and the payoff. It's a set that does its job without ever doing more than its job. For the theme's fans, that might be enough; for everyone else, the F on price is hard to argue with.
