710 pieces at $79.99 is the Crystal King Temple's biggest problem — LEGO® charged flagship money for a set that delivers mid-tier results. The temple itself has some charm, but you feel the gap every time you look at it.

The Full Take
The Crystal King Temple is a Ninjago set caught between ambition and budget reality. Six minifigs sounds generous until you realize the build they're standing in front of doesn't quite justify the $79.99 ask. The temple structure has some decent detailing — crystal accents read well, and the color palette is cohesive — but the overall footprint feels thin for the price point. At 710 pieces you'd expect more architectural density or at least a wow moment; instead it's a series of competent but unremarkable sections. Ninjago fans will find enough to like, but anyone coming in without franchise loyalty is going to notice the mismatch between cost and payoff. A C is the honest landing spot: not broken, not boring, just not worth full retail.
