For a Ninjago dragon, this one earns its reputation on price alone — a 9.9 value score is almost unheard of in the theme, and the set delivers a visually striking build to match. Lloyd's dragon has the kind of shelf presence that doesn't demand a $150 price tag to justify itself: wide wingspan, good color blocking, and four minifigs rounding out the package. The build itself is engaging without being groundbreaking — solid techniques, a satisfying parts count, nothing that'll make a veteran builder put down their coffee in shock, but nothing frustrating either. Parents will find it hits a sweet spot: complex enough to feel special, accessible enough that a Ninjago-obsessed kid can get involved.
