The Full Take
Zane's Power Up Mech EVO is one of those small sets that gets the brief right: a cool mech, a clean transformation gimmick, two minifigs, and a villain to fight — all for under ten dollars. The EVO concept is clever for the scale, letting kids snap on armor upgrades mid-play rather than just posing a finished model. Build-wise there isn't much to chew on, but that's not the point at this size. The minifig selection is solid for a Ninjago fan, and Zane is always a draw. Where it stumbles is the price — $9.99 for 95 pieces is a tough sell when competing sets offer more. The love grade is a B+ for a reason though: kids who are into Ninjago will get real mileage out of it.
