The EVO mechanic is a genuinely clever concept: one set, two forms, a build that evolves mid-play. Jay's dragon captures that idea well enough that kids will actually use it the way LEGO® intended. The blue-and-gold color blocking is sharp for a budget set, and the minifig lineup is solid for Ninjago fans. The problem is the price point — $19.99 sits in an awkward zone where the set feels too small to justify the tag but too fun to dismiss.
