The Full Take
Jay's Electro Mech is one of those sets where the character does the heavy lifting, and it works. The mech silhouette is tight and recognizable, the color blocking is clean, and it displays better than most small-scale mechs from this era. Two minifigs at this size is a reasonable deal, though the $20 ask is a little high for 106 pieces. The build itself is short — this is a one-evening project at best — but it moves satisfyingly and the arm articulation is better than expected. Ninjago fans will get the most out of it; for everyone else, it's a solid B- set that's easy to like but hard to obsess over.
