The Empire Temple of Madness earns its A- by doing almost everything right at a price that would've been easy to inflate. Six minifigs is a rare generosity at this tier, and the temple itself has real shelf presence — layered, dramatic, the kind of structure that reads as a destination rather than a backdrop. The build leans into Ninjago's theatrical villain aesthetic without going camp, and 820 pieces gives builders enough to chew on without the thing overstaying its welcome. Where it stumbles is on the back end: appreciation is weak, so this is very much a set you buy to own, not to sit on. But for what it delivers at $79.99, the math was never really in question.
