Spinjitzu Slam lives and dies on its gimmick — two spinners, two minifigs, and just enough arena scaffolding to make it feel like a game rather than a LEGO® set. Kai is a reliable face and the samurai design has some charm, but 166 pieces at $19.99 is a rough ask when the build itself takes maybe twenty minutes. The spinner mechanic does work, and younger Ninjago fans will genuinely battle with it, but collectors and builders won't find much to linger over. Value retention is close to zero — this kind of play-feature set floods the secondary market at a discount the moment it retires. The C+ overall score is the set being fair to itself: decent enough for the right kid, forgettable for everyone else.
