The Full Take
The Monastery of Spinjitzu looks the part: tiered walls, training grounds, a decent amount of Ninjago atmosphere packed into a classic fortress layout. Eight minifigs is a genuinely strong haul, and fans of the theme will find plenty to like in the character lineup. The build itself is competent without being inspired — lots of wall-stacking, functional but rarely surprising. At 1080 pieces the scale feels right, but $79.99 was a stretch at launch for what you get, and that F on price isn't harsh, it's just accurate. The C overall captures it well: a set that delivers on theme and minifig count but asks too much money for a build that doesn't push any limits. Ninjago diehards will enjoy it; everyone else should wait for a sale.
