The Full Take
The Golden Dragon Master is one of those small Ninjago sets that gets the aesthetic right and the economics wrong. The dragon build itself has personality — the golden color scheme pops and the minifig is a legitimate standout for Ninjago collectors. But ninety-three pieces at $14.99 is a tough sell when better-priced sets are one shelf over. As a display piece it reads small, and as a build it's over in twenty minutes. The love grade lands at a B because the dragon genuinely delivers on its promise — it just costs more than it should for what you get. At a discount this flips from frustrating to fun; at full MSRP, you feel the squeeze every time you look at the receipt.
