The Flying Jelly Sub is peak Ninjago Movie energy: bizarre vehicle design that somehow works, a translucent purple jellyfish hull you weren't expecting to want on your shelf. Four minifigs including Nya and a shark army soldier give it real play stakes, and the cockpit-inside-the-bell build is more clever than it has any right to be. At $29.99 it's not a steal — the piece count is modest and you feel it — but the set has a personality that cheaper, boxier sets don't. It's a B for a reason: nothing about it is spectacular, but nothing about it is lazy either. The Ninjago Movie line never got the same cultural legs as the TV series, which keeps secondary market interest lukewarm. Buy it for the jellyfish, not the spreadsheet.
