The love grade is an A, but the price grade is an F — that gap tells you everything about this tiny soap box racer. Cute concept, rough math.
The parts alone are worth about 58% of the street price — the basis for this F price read.
OverpricedYou're paying well above the parts' value — $7 of parts for a $12 price.
There's something undeniably charming about a soap box racer done in LEGO® City scale — the sloped hood, the open cockpit, the whole scrappy underdog energy of the vehicle itself. At 39 pieces this build wraps up in under ten minutes, which isn't a knock so much as a heads-up about what you're signing up for. The minifig is solid and the set displays better than its part count suggests, which is where that A love grade comes from. The F on price is the story, though — this is a pocket-money set priced like it forgot pocket money exists. Value holds at a C-, so it's not a disaster to own long-term, just not something to bank on. Buy it because the racer is genuinely fun to look at, not because the math works in your favor.
