The Full Take
The Tow Truck concept is City bread and butter — familiar, functional, and genuinely fun to build. At 793 pieces there's real substance here, with a cab that has some heft and a working crane mechanism that kids and builders both appreciate. The problem is LEGO® priced it at $89.99, which is a number that makes you pause and check if you grabbed the wrong box. City sets at this price point usually bring a bigger scene or a more dramatic subject, and a tow truck — however well executed — has a ceiling on what it can command. Three minifigs for ninety bucks also stings a little. Build-wise it's a B- situation: nothing broken, nothing embarrassing, just a set that would land much better at $70. If it hits a sale, the calculus changes completely.
