Four minifigs in a $55 City set is a quiet win — but LEGO® left the price/value gap wide enough to drive a police cruiser through.
The parts alone are worth about 125% of the MSRP — the basis for this B- price read.
BargainThe parts alone are worth more than you pay — $69 of parts for $55.
The minifig count is the headline here: four figures in a mid-size City set is above average and gives kids something to actually argue over. The garage itself looks the part on a shelf — clean lines, recognizable silhouette, the kind of thing that reads as 'complete' without demanding a second glance. The build at 489 pieces is competent without being clever; there's nothing in the bag sequence that'll make a veteran builder stop and go 'huh, that's smart.' What stings is the $54.99 ask — for what's inside the box, LEGO® is charging a premium the set hasn't earned. City fans who want a police presence in their layout will find enough here to justify it, but going in eyes-wide-open matters.
