The Full Take
The McLaren licensing here is doing a lot of heavy lifting on a set that's really just a car and a driver. At $12.99, that's a fair trade — you get a recognizable livery, a clean little F1 build, and a minifig that looks the part. The build itself won't take longer than 20 minutes, which puts this squarely in 'gift add-on' or 'desk trinket' territory. It's not trying to be a centrepiece and it knows it. The City F1 theme has momentum right now, so this slot makes sense in the lineup even if it's the smallest entry. Don't expect depth — expect a solid little hit of Formula 1 fandom for cheap.
