Space Base and Rocket Launchpad looks the part — sprawling pad, tall rocket, eight minifigs — but $134.99 is a tough sell when the build doesn't quite match the ambition of the price tag.
Is the price fair?DToo much rocket, not enough deal — this one needs a discount to make sense.
Will you love it?BThe rocket's got real shelf swagger and the play layout is genuinely fun.
Holds its value?C-Middling retirement prospects; City space sets move, but this one won't moonshot.

The Full Take
The rocket itself is the star here: tall, white, and shelf-ready in a way that most City sets never achieve. Eight minifigs give the launchpad genuine life, and the modular ground layout means kids actually have room to play missions instead of just looking at a diorama. But LEGO® is asking serious money for a set that, piece for piece, feels like it leaves value on the launchpad. The build experience is competent City construction — nothing that'll make a seasoned builder slow down and study a technique. It holds its own as a display piece, especially if space is your thing, but the D on price keeps this from being a clean recommendation. Buy it on sale and it jumps a letter grade immediately.
