$85 for a City rover set in 2024 is a hard sell — and the crane loader doesn't add enough wow factor to justify looking the other way on that price tag.
Is the price fair?D758 pieces at $85 is a tough ask — City keeps pushing, and this one pushed too far.
Will you love it?B-Fun enough to build and play with, but nothing here lingers after the box is empty.
Holds its value?C-Expect modest movement at best — City sets this mid rarely ignite the secondary market.

The Full Take
City space has been on a roll, and the Command Rover looks the part: six minifigs, a decent vehicle spread, and enough moving parts to keep a build session interesting. But $85 for 758 pieces is where this set starts tripping over itself. The build is genuinely fun in stretches — the crane loader has some satisfying mechanics — yet nothing here feels like a must-own centerpiece. It sits in that awkward City middle ground where it's too pricey to be a casual grab and not impressive enough to be a deliberate purchase. If you catch it on sale, the calculus shifts. At full retail, you're paying a City premium for a set that delivers City average.
