$55 for a City plane that looks like every other City plane — LEGO®'s fire theme is usually reliable, but the price here is doing a lot of heavy lifting for what's on the table.
The parts alone are worth about 112% of the street price — the basis for this C price read.
BargainThe parts alone are worth more than you pay — $61 of parts for $55.
The Fire Rescue Plane is the kind of set that makes you squint at the box price twice. City fire sets have a devoted fanbase and this one delivers on playability — three minifigs, a chunky plane with opening features, and that bright red colorway kids respond to. But $54.99 for 485 pieces in a theme that rarely commands shelf-piece prestige is a tough sell for anyone older than ten. The build itself is competent rather than clever; nothing here is going to make a builder stop and think. As a gift for a kid obsessed with fire rescue, it lands — they won't care about the math. Everyone else is going to feel the squeeze.
