Two vehicles for $35 sounds like a deal until you notice LEGO® charged full freight on a set that's mostly hollow truck cab and a boat that took fifteen minutes to finish.
Is the price fair?B-Two builds, one price — but LEGO® didn't discount for the split, and it shows.
Will you love it?BThe dual-vehicle rescue setup genuinely works; kids will keep coming back to the deploy-and-save loop.
Holds its value?C-Bread-and-butter City sets like this retire quietly and sit flat on the secondary market.

The Full Take
The 4x4 Fire Truck with Rescue Boat is one of those City sets that looks complete on the box and a little thin in your hands. The truck has decent proportions and the bright red colorway reads well, but 302 pieces split across two builds means neither one gets enough love. Three minifigs keep the scene lively and kids will absolutely run with the rescue narrative — truck deploys boat, boat saves someone, repeat forever. The price is where this stumbles: $34.99 for what's here puts it in awkward territory next to City sets that deliver more build for the same money. It's a solid play set dressed up as a value proposition, and the gap between those two things is what drags the score down.
