The Full Take
The double-decker format gives this set a vertical presence that most City vehicles can't match — it looks like something, not just a rectangle on wheels. Five minifigs for a $30 City set is a solid haul, and the open-top upper deck adds playability that keeps kids coming back. The build itself is straightforward, no groundbreaking techniques, but that's not really the point here — it's a well-executed City staple. At $29.99 it's fairly priced without being a steal, which puts it squarely in the 'solid gift' category rather than 'must-buy.' The sightseeing angle — cameras, tourists, that whole vibe — gives it enough character to feel distinct from a plain city bus. It won't blow anyone's mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises.
