The Family House and Electric Car tries to bring modern suburban life into City — an EV in the driveway, a backyard, a lived-in vibe — and the concept is charming enough. The problem is that $59.99 for 462 pieces and three minifigs is a stretch by any measure, and the build itself doesn't compensate with clever techniques or standout design. It's a perfectly functional City house: open back, modular-ish layout, playable rooms. Kids will set up the family and drive the car around, parents will be quietly annoyed at the price, and display collectors will find nothing to stop them mid-scroll. The electric car detail is a rare moment where LEGO® City felt current and culturally aware, and that deserves a nod. But a good idea in a middling package at an ambitious price is still a D+ — likable in theory, underwhelming in practice.
