The Full Take
The Arctic Explorer Truck and Mobile Lab has a lot going for it on paper: a chunky vehicle, a deployable lab setup, and four minifigs ready for polar fieldwork. The problem is the price tag, which sits uncomfortably high for what you actually get. At 489 pieces and $74.99, the math feels off before you even open the box. That said, the build itself delivers a satisfying session — the truck has real presence and the lab feels purposeful rather than filler. Kids who are into exploration themes will find enough here to fuel a solid afternoon of play. It's not a bad set, just a set that LEGO® decided to charge too much for, which colors the whole experience before the first brick snaps in.
