Fire Station and Fire Engine does a lot right for a set this size. Three minifigs, a working fire engine, and a compact station that actually looks like something — all for $40. The build is quick but coherent, and the fire theme gives kids an immediate story to run with. It's not going to anchor a shelf or win points for complexity, but as an entry-level City set it's punching above its weight. Just don't buy it hoping it quietly appreciates in a closet — this one retires quietly.
