Six animals, a helicopter, a boat, and a jungle scene for forty bucks — City rarely does this much for this little.
Is the price fair?A+Six animals, vehicles, and a full scene for forty bucks — City nailed it here.
Will you love it?B-Lots of variety and animal figures, but the builds are shallow and there's only one minifig.
Holds its value?C-Expect this one to sit flat or dip — rescue-themed City sets don't move after retirement.
The Full Take
Wild Animal Rescue Missions packs a surprising amount of world into one box: six animal figures, multiple vehicles, and a layered jungle setting that gives it more presence than most City sets at this price point. The build itself is light — 246 pieces spread across several small sub-builds means nothing here is complex — but the variety keeps it from feeling thin. One minifig is genuinely puzzling for a set this size; LEGO® clearly shifted the budget toward animals and accessories instead of people, which is the right call for what this set is trying to be. Shelf presence is modest but coherent, and the color palette reads well from a distance. This won't anchor a display, but it fits cleanly into a City layout without looking out of place. The price is where this set shines hardest — $39.99 for this much stuff is a fair deal in any era, let alone the current one. Just don't buy it expecting the secondary market to reward you later.
