Five animal rescue scenarios in one box — LEGO® City has been quietly doing its best work in sets like this one, where variety beats spectacle.

Wild Animal Rescue Missions bundles five bite-sized builds into a single package, and the format works better than you'd expect. Each vignette is self-contained enough to feel complete, but light enough that a kid can rotate through all of them in an afternoon. The animal figures carry a lot of weight here — they're the reason this lands on shelves and under trees. At $39.99, the breadth of content justifies the price without needing to do any math about it. The single minifig is the one sore spot; more rescuers would've sold the theme harder. Still, this is City doing what City does best: approachable, colorful, and fun without pretending to be anything deeper.
