The Grocery Store nails the cozy neighborhood-retail fantasy that City does best — produce displays, checkout counters, little domestic details that make a layout feel lived-in. Five minifigs give it some life, and the modular-ish footprint means it plays nicely alongside other City builds. But $69.99 for 404 pieces is where the goodwill evaporates; you're paying a premium for a set that just doesn't deliver the mass or the wow moment to justify it. The build itself is pleasant rather than exciting — competent City construction, nothing that'll make you stop and stare mid-build. For a display piece it reads as background filler, not centerpiece.
