Seven minifigs and a proper fire station scenario sounds like a win, and on the shelf or the floor it reads like a complete City scene. The problem is the $100 price tag against 766 pieces for a set that isn't particularly complex to build or stunning to display. The fire truck is solid, the burning building gimmick is fun for kids, but nothing here surprises you mid-build. City fans who already own a fire set will feel the overlap; newcomers will enjoy it more than veterans. It holds a B for the experience but the price grade is a flat F — LEGO® left no room for error at this tier. Buy it on sale or skip it at full retail, simple as that.
