Two sets mashed into one box sounds like a deal until you see the $39.99 tag on 295 pieces — City has done this combo format better and cheaper. The builds themselves are solid fun, but the price is the story here, and it's not a good one.
Is the price fair?D295 pieces at $39.99 is a straight-up overpay for what City normally delivers at this scale.
Will you love it?B+Two vehicles, a built-in chase scenario, and three minifigs — kids are going to run this thing ragged.
Holds its value?C-Retires quietly, sits flat on the secondary market — don't expect much movement.

The Full Take
Fire truck and police car in one box is a genuinely fun concept for kids, and the actual builds deliver on that — action-packed, colorful, and sized right for small hands. The problem is LEGO® slapped a price on this that doesn't match what's in the box, and that's hard to overlook when comparable City sets offer more for less. Three minifigs is a reasonable count for a dual-vehicle set, and the scenario play is built right in: chase, rescue, repeat. On the shelf it reads as filler — no centerpiece presence, no wow factor. For a kid tearing into it on a Saturday morning, none of that matters. But for anyone paying attention to what $39.99 buys in City right now, this one lands with a thud.
