A lighthouse, a crook, and a police boat crammed into $30 — the playability punches above the price tag's weight, even if the price tag itself doesn't.
Is the price fair?D+Too much money for too few bricks — wait for a discount.

The Full Take
City sets live or die by their scene, and this one actually builds one: a working lighthouse, a getaway vehicle, and enough cops-and-robbers energy to keep a kid busy. The build is straightforward — no landmark techniques, but the lighthouse silhouette looks tidy on a shelf if you're into the nautical thing. Two minifigs for $30 on 189 pieces is where things get uncomfortable; the price-to-content ratio is the set's weakest stat. That said, the play scenario is tight and legible, which counts for a lot at the age this targets. Secondary market doesn't care much about it, so this is strictly a buy-to-enjoy proposition. The B+ love grade is real — it's a fun little set — but the D on price means you should wait for a sale.
