837 pieces for a full Saturn V-style launch pad setup sounds like a win until you check the $100 price tag — this set is asking premium money for mid-tier ambition.
Is the price fair?DA hundred dollars for a set that builds like a $70 kit — City Space tax is real here.
Will you love it?BSolid rocket fantasy with a full crew and a decent build, even if nothing about it is exceptional.
Holds its value?C-Retired but not scarce — secondary market has kept a ceiling on any meaningful appreciation.

The Full Take
The Deep Space Rocket and Launch Control has all the right ingredients on paper: a towering rocket, a launch control building, and seven minifigs to populate the scene. But City space sets live or die by how convincing the whole tableau looks, and at $99.99 this one never quite justifies the ask. The build itself is competent — the gantry structure has some satisfying geometry and the control center reads clearly as a workspace. Seven minifigs is a generous headcount and they sell the mission fantasy well for younger fans. Display-wise it holds its own on a shelf but lacks the wow factor that makes you stop mid-room. Value retention has been shaky, which makes it hard to recommend as anything other than a set you buy because you want it right now.
