The Lunar Space Station landed in 2019 as one of the most crew-complete City space sets in years — five astronauts for sixty dollars is a hard deal to argue with. The modular ring layout gives the build a shape you don't see often in City, something closer to a real orbital station than a rocket-on-a-stand. Piece-by-piece the build is approachable but not brainless, with enough connection points and angle work to keep an experienced builder interested. On a shelf it reads clearly as a space station, not just a pile of grey panels — the circular silhouette does real work from across the room. Where it falls flat is longevity: this set has not appreciated in retirement and shows no strong signs of turning that around. Buy it for the build or the play, not the portfolio.
