The Full Take
City's Mars exploration line never got the mainstream hype it deserved, and Rover Testing Drive is a quiet highlight. Two minifigs at this price point gives the scene real life — there's a driver AND a ground crew member, so the story writes itself. The rover itself is a compact but convincing build, all functional-looking angles and chunky wheels that kids actually want to push around. Display-wise it sits neatly on a shelf without demanding real estate it hasn't earned. At $29.99 it was fairly priced from day one, which is increasingly rare in City. The one honest caveat: this thing moves on the secondary market about as well as a rover on actual Mars — slowly and with difficulty.
