There's a lot happening in Downtown Fire Brigade: a ladder truck, a fire station facade, a burning corner store, seven minifigs running around doing things. LEGO® City at its best is a slice of a living world, and this set gets that energy right. The build itself is competent — modular-feeling street layouts with some interior detail — though it won't push a seasoned builder anywhere new. The sticking point is the price tag, which lands hard for what you're actually getting in 2019 dollars.
