Six bucks for a complete arctic scene with a glider and a minifig — LEGO® City used to quietly nail the entry-level set, and this is proof.
Is the price fair?A+A full arctic scene with a pilot for under seven bucks — this tier rarely delivers this cleanly.
Will you love it?C+Charming for what it is, but too small to build a lasting attachment.
Holds its value?C-Micro City sets at this price point don't appreciate — the secondary market has zero interest here.
The Full Take
The Arctic Ice Glider is a 2018 City micro that does exactly what a $6.99 set should: one cohesive scene, one minifig, no filler. The glider itself is simple but reads as a real vehicle, and the arctic color palette keeps it looking clean on any surface. At this price point, it's easy to dismiss as a stocking-stuffer filler, but the build is tighter than most sets twice its size. The minifig inclusion is strong for the tier — plenty of sets at this range ship without one. It won't blow anyone away, and it's not trying to. What it does is deliver a complete, honest little set for the cost of a fast-food combo.
